In 1922, according to the doctor's diagnosis, I was taken ill with laryngitis. The doctor had given my wife little hope of my recovery, because I was then seventy-eight years of age, and for this reason weakness of the heart would probably set in. My wife was a diligent attendant at the Christian Science services, and she tried to explain this teaching to me. A few days later she met a lady who told her that a Christian Science practitioner was coming to see her the next day. My wife asked if the practitioner might come to see me also; and I was agreeable to this. She came, talked with me very lovingly, and gave me a treatment. That night I slept well, and the next morning a great improvement had taken place. I had a few absent treatments, and was completely healed; the trouble has not returned. To-day, in spite of my eighty-one years, I can walk three quarters of an hour to and from Sunday services and the testimony meetings. I have learned that God is all power, all Life, all Love.
