The term "spiritual healing" is applied to-day to almost any form of so-called mental healing. In view of the passing reference to Christian Science in the report of a recent lecture, I shall be glad to be allowed to point out that there is an irreconcilable difference between the teachings of Christian Science and the doctrines and views expressed in the lecture. The so-called human or carnal mind does not enter into the practice of Christian Science. Through the teachings of Christian Science men and women are learning the practical meaning of our Master's statement to Nicodemus: "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." The lecturer, by his reference to Christian Science in his article on "Faith Healing," in a recent monthly magazine, shows that he has completely failed to understand the subject of Christian Science and the manner in which its healing is effected.
