Christian Science was brought into our home about seven years ago, healing me instantly of a nervous disorder which four medicines and a physician had not helped. Since then we have had many proofs of the healing power of Truth, as taught in Christian Science, one of which I should like to relate, hoping it will help some one whose trouble seems hard to meet.

About three years ago our eldest boy, then eight years of age, after an afternoon's play, laughingly said that an automobile had run over his foot; but as he walked and jumped and his feet were apparently in good condition, we concluded that the car had run near his foot. We therefore thought no more of it, not even when, a few days later, he complained of discomfort in one foot. We, however, immediately called a practitioner, and held fast to the truth, helping the child to be comfortable, but not healing the condition. Being advised to have the foot examined, we finally took the child to a surgeon, who told us the boy had not been fooling when he said the automobile had run over his foot, for it had crushed the toe bones, a tuberculous condition of the membrane ensuing. Love then led us to ask for help from another practitioner, and at last every adverse circumstance was overcome with the truth. While for a whole year we dressed the foot and there was no visible progress, we were taught to study more, read more, learn more of God and get a better understanding of the truth. Great was our joy and gratitude to find that the healing had been going on inside all the while; and then the outside of the foot started to heal; and in a short while the child was able to wear a shoe and to run and jump again.

We are grateful to God for this healing; to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, whose works have enabled us to know more of our Father-Mother God; and to the practitioners who so lovingly helped us.
