Having been a student of Christian Science for over nine...
Having been a student of Christian Science for over nine years, I feel it my duty to testify to some of the many proofs I have had of its wonderful healing power. I have two boys, both of whom were born under help from Science, without medical attendance. We have not had one moment's trouble, night or day, with the baby. The need for circumcision was met and overcome within a fortnight through the loving help of the faithful practitioner, who gave absent treatment for this case.
Ther elder boy—now nine years old—has never tasted medicine or spent more than one day in bed. He was healed instantly of a badly cut lip, and both whooping cough and measles were healed within twenty-four hours. At one time this boy accidentally took some "essential salts of lemon," which is considered a deadly poison. Although he had a dreadful rash and his face and hands were swollen, he did not miss a meal or spend an hour in bed. This proved to me that Jesus' words, uttered centuries ago, "If they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them," are still true to-day, and that the spiritual method of healing used by him is as efficacious as ever it was.
Before coming into Science I had a delicate chest and suffered a lot from sore throat, spending two or three weeks in bed every winter. This has been entirely overcome. I have had the great joy of proving that God can "furnish a table in the wilderness." Some years ago I was left with no visible means of support, and had to rely, day by day, on the all-knowing Mind for supply. It was truly remarkable how my needs were met from totally unexpected sources, until quite suddenly, a few years ago, my circumstances changed completely, and I rejoiced to find that, as the Psalmist says, "no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."
