The truth of Christian Science has awakened me to acknowledge that "surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not;" for before Christian Science found me I was an alien, a wanderer in the land of bondage, having suffered from heart disease and a deep-seated lung trouble for some years. The doctors and specialist pronounced my case incurable. My previous training as a hospital nurse, however, quickened within me a dormant independent idea that medical diagnosis was not infallible; therefore, when the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was lovingly lent me, I began to read it with zeal, yet with impatient criticism, for every line rebuked me with its sound logic and beautiful revelation. Not almost but fully did it persuade me to be a Christian; and through this key to the Bible a harvest of metaphysical prescriptions has been supplied. I am now well, and cough no more. The days are full of recognition that God is ever present and potent; and such consciousness glows unceasingly with a radiance all divine, full of robust confidence that health is an indisputable tributary to our understanding of God, in whom "we live, and move, and have our being." I am able to walk miles now without tiring. I have not worn glasses for ten years.

I cannot adequately express my undying gratitude to God, divine Principle, Love, who has released me from fear and doubt, or to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who through her unselfed devotion to the Cause of Christian Science has led me out of darkness to light.—(Mrs.) Geraldine Carnell, Sevenoaks, Kent, England.
