Being deeply grateful to Christian Science for the many...

Being deeply grateful to Christian Science for the many blessings that have been experienced in my family, and in the hope that this testimony may be of some benefit to seekers after Truth, I set forth the following facts in proof that God is Life.

When our son was two years and eight months old, while leaning over the banister upstairs, he lost his balance and pitched headforemost down the stair well, an unbroken fall of sixteen feet. Just as he fell, my wife and I heard a scream, followed by a thud as he hit the floor. I rushed out into the hall and found our little boy apparently lifeless, with his head on one side and limp, the head also being terribly out of shape. Help was called for at once; and the fact that God was our baby's Life was declared over and over again by my wife, while all I could do was to repeat part of the "scientific statement of being," as given on page 468 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I then took the baby to the home of a practitioner, who lovingly treated him. In a very few minutes he responded, walking a few steps and speaking. The next day he was seemingly conscious of a slight soreness, but very soon was playing around as usual, and in a few days was entirely his natural self. Since then he has been happier and healthier, if anything, than he was before. I know that divine Love alone restored our boy to us, and that God's love, and only that, could have given him back after that fall.

I wish to express deep gratitude to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to the practitioners for their patient, loving, unselfish help. I have been cured of influenza, smoking, drinking, and the necessity of wearing glasses; for all of which healings I am deeply grateful.—Wallace W. Neill, Vallejo, California.
