In an article about "Religious Currents in the Newer Literature" a critic in a recent issue of your paper mentioned Christian Science as a substitute for Christianity which wastes time and energy. His utterance must have been founded on complete lack of knowledge of Christian Science, which is a religion representing Christ as shown in the gosspels,—as the way, the truth, and the life. Through the spiritual interpretation of the Bible, given in the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Bible is opened for every one who seeks the truth and desires to live it. Therefore, Christian Science has brought healing to many thousands who have sought its help for salvation from sin and sickness. The words of the Bible, used in the light of the teaching of Christian Science, are able to solve every one of the many problems of life. Christian Science does not turn Christ from the earth; neither does it find that Christ is a divine mystery; but it makes the teaching of Christ Jesus of practical use in daily life, thereby helping men to attain the Mind of Christ. Christian Science teaches us to devote time and energy to the work in the vineyard of God; and the result of that work is verified by the words from the Bible, "The tree is known by his fruit."
