In an article published in the Albertan a few days ago regarding divine healing, a clergyman is reported to have said: "Our faith also is not Christian Science, for there also there is confusion, a confusion between the immanence of God and Christ and the transcendence of God and Christ."

In view of the clergyman's avowed belief that material means should be used along with spiritual means in the healing of disease, it is quite plain that his faith is not Christian Science. Christian Science adheres to Jesus' teaching, "No man can serve two masters."

Christian Science teaches clearly and simply that God is not in man, but that God is reflected by man and the universe, and that man is inseparable from and coexistent with God. The teaching of Christian Science on this subject is so clear and unmistakable that there is no room for confusion. The value of a clear understanding of this subject, however, does not lie in mere intellectual recognition and acceptance. Its true value lies in using this understanding in one's daily life. When one understands, even in a slight degree, that man is inseparable from divine Love, he is able to utilize God's healing power, and so he can prove the practical value of what he understands.
