About five years ago, I was afflicted for several months with rheumatism and heart trouble. I was treated by local physicians, and also stayed at Boulder Hot Springs, Montana, but was advised by the doctor there to undergo an operation for explorative purposes only, for the reason that my case was beyond him and other specialists who examined me.

I was in a very serious and helpless condition; and as a last resort I turned to Christian Science with the view of obtaining relief. The second day after being treated I walked two blocks to my meals, followed the advice of the practitioner to eat what I chose, and at that time was cured of acute stomach trouble of several years' standing. Under Christian Science I was completely healed of all physical ailments, and have enjoyed perfect health since; but I am more grateful for the moral regeneration, spiritual uplift, understanding, and peace that accompanied my healing and study; and it is with a deep and sincere sense of gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, and to Mrs. Eddy that I now offer this expression of thanks.
