Christian Science found me submerged in so many hopeless beliefs of sin and disease that I had lost hope of ever being free from bondage to them; but as a result of its healing influence, whenever faithfully applied, Christian Science has abolished many of these beliefs and is healing the rest of them day by day. My healing has been a slow one, but I am grateful for this, as it has forced me to look away from matter to Spirit for my help and happiness.

My first definite healing in Christian Science was almost instantaneous. I was seized one morning with a pain so violent that I seemed not able to think clearly. A practitioner was called, but could not be reached for several hours. She came late in the afternoon and found me in extreme agony. Soon after treatment was begun I fell into a peaceful sleep, and awoke a little later refreshed and healed. This is but one of many absolute proofs I have had of the healing power of Christian Science. I have been healed of a bad case of boils, of poisoning, Spanish influenza, a skin disease, hemorrhoids, rheumatism, and headaches. Since the entrance of Christian Science into our home a beautiful healing of lack has taken place, and now a plentiful supply is manifested. Of course I am grateful for these healings, but far more grateful for the mental and moral healing that has taken place and is taking place daily in my consciousness—the healing from sin and from material thinking. It was with the intention of using Christian Science that I took up the study of it; but now I am learning to let Christian Science use me.

I wish also to express my deep gratitude for the blessed privilege of being a guest at the beautiful sanatorium of The Christian Science Benevolent Association. In common with all others who have had the same privilege, I feel I cannot say too much in praise of this dear place. Aside from the many healings I experienced there, I gained a firm understanding of Christian Science which I can never lose and I am continually experiencing the good resulting from my happy stay there two years ago. I think if all Christian Scientists could realize the beautiful healing work that is being done at the sanatorium it would receive a more generous support in every way from the field.
