I had undergone a surgical operation for cancer, but in a few months' time the condition came back in a worse form; and I was very ill again. I felt many times that death would be the best thing for me; but through the loving help and understanding of a Christian Science practitioner I was slowly but surely healed, and am now well and able to do any work I need to do. For all this I am grateful; also for the slow healing, because I had to study and through it I have learned, as Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to Scriptures" (p. 120), that "health is not a condition of matter, but of Mind." I have proved many times, by holding on to the truth, that divine Love does meet every need.—(Mrs.) Lila Hockney, Leeds, England.

I should like to add a few words of gratitude for my wife's healing and confirmation of her testimony. Her condition was diagnosed by one of Leeds' surgeons of great repute to be a hopeless case of cancer, for which he operated; but within twelve months she was suffering again as much as before, and he said it was impossible to do anything for her. Christian Science treatment was applied for and most lovingly given; and the healing came gradually and surely. She is now able to take as active a part in the home as she ever took.

For the wonderful sustaining power I felt and proved Christian Science to be throughout this long period I am very grateful. From every point of view there is no treatment that can compare with it for the healing of disease.
