Letters from the Field
[Original letter in French]
"Christian Science is the joy of my life, and is bringing me new blessings each day. Through the study of Mrs. Eddy's works, which I have the privilege of possessing, I am able to have better health, spiritually, mentally, and physically; for I understand in a degree what Mrs. Eddy tells us in 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures' (p. 302), 'The Science of being reveals man as perfect, even as the Father is perfect, because the Soul, or Mind, of the spiritual man is God, the divine Principle of all being, and because this real man is governed by Soul instead of sense, by the law of Spirit, not by the so-called laws of matter.' I value and esteem the rules and By-laws, as given by Mrs. Eddy in the Manual of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston—rules and By-laws which guide us in the straight path; and I hope that some day they will be translated into the French language for the benefit of my countrymen.
"Thanks to the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons, we all are able to study the Bible, together with Science and Health; and we derive much benefit from it. The Christian Science periodicals are always welcomed in our home; and when I think of the wonderful work done by The Christian Science Publishing Society in Boston, my heart is filled with gratitude for all those who work to help redeem humanity. In Science and Health (p. 340) Mrs. Eddy writes, 'One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, "Love thy neighbor as thyself."'
"I am deeply grateful to God and to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science.
