At Chicago, more than twenty years ago, I was healed of valvular heart trouble and chronic indigestion in two or three Christian Science treatments. Since then I have never experienced, even in the slightest degree, either of these old troubles. Simultaneiously, I was healed of infidelity, or an ignorant dislike for God and the Bible. Before studying for the spiritual meaning of the Bible, I considered it misleading and obnoxious in some of its passages. Now the name "God," which I ignorantly disliked, has come to be the sweetest word in the English language to me. I am praying daily for a clearer spiritual interpretation of divine Principle, which underlies all Bible teachings; and it is unfolding just in proportion to my obedience to God's law of love.

I have seen more than ten thousand well-balanced, successful people, who are absolutely sure of their healing in Christian Science. The practical results achieved by Christian Scientists who are in business may seem like miracles; but they are not. They are simply the result of obedience to the demands of divine Mind, which says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

No living man can have my experience and not be grateful to God for the Bible, and for "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
