One
need not go far to find some mortal who is dissatisfied with what he calls life, one who is a strict materialist, with no spiritual vision of the future.

this day of so many hygienic rules and regulations, in spite of greater comfort and cleanliness in every way than before, we still seem to see a great amount of disease and suffering.

the last year or so Seattle has built a fresh-water canal where sea-going vessels may enter and rid themselves of barnacles, a crustacean that clings to the bottoms of ships, hampering their speed by the added weight and the increased resistance to water.

A sermon published in your paper has not properly stated the teachings of Christian Science on the subject of "the virgin birth.
That Christian Science teaches "the intimate relationship between religion and health," that its teaching is "a profound message of comfort to the sick," that "it brings great hope and some fine results," that it teaches "the great necessity of emphasizing the spiritual more, and the material less," and that its teachings have "brought heaven nearer in daily experiences,"—all of these statements are certainly true.
Christian Science is not based on superstition; it is absolutely free from it.
The
world has never witnessed in another so great a desire to do the will of God as was manifested by Christ Jesus.
