With a glad and grateful heart I wish to testify to the blessings which we have received through Christian Science. I had been a sufferer from nervous headaches for years. In addition to this I also suffered from stomach trouble and intestinal difficulties combined with severe diarrhoea. I consulted several doctors, but my ailments did not yield. On the contrary, my condition grew worse daily. After twelve painful weeks, my attention was called to Christian Science in October, 1921. Filled with confidence in God's love and all-power, I asked for treatment from a Christian Science practitioner, which was lovingly given. After a short time, I was entirely free of all my ills.
Last spring our son was ill with tonsillitis accompanied by high fever. We at once had the same practitioner treat the case, and in a few days the boy was again hale and hearty. These two instances clearly proved to us that fear and sickness of themselves have no power; that God is the only cause; that God's law annuls all erroneous material beliefs; and that divine intelligence manifests itself.
Words are inadequate to describe the many blessings and benefits which we have received through this beautiful teaching of Christian Science. We read in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 261), "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts." For all the good received; for our Christian Science literature; for being able to attend the services; and for the privilege that our son has of attending Sunday school,—for all these we are sincerely grateful to God, and thank Mrs. Eddy for again having shown us the way of salvation.
