I desire to express my gratitude for the many blessings...

I desire to express my gratitude for the many blessings I have received, both spiritually and physically, through the study of Christian Science. I was a great sufferer for about twenty-seven years and tried all kinds of remedies. I took at least one hundred and twenty baths of different kinds, in different places; and while I experienced some relief, I was not healed. During this time I was taking doctor's medicines and using liniments all the time.

Finally, about eleven years ago, I took up Christian Science. I had several treatments from practitioners, and can truthfully say that every treatment helped me. The healing of rheumatism was slow; I was finally cured of this ailment through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was healed of dyspepsia in one treatment by a practitioner. I was also cured of a trouble caused by erysipelas and a breaking out and itching over my body. Recently I was healed of a sore toe. This troubled me for a few days and kept getting worse, until one night it kept me from going to sleep. The thought came to me that if I would ask God in the proper spirit to relieve me of this pain He would answer my prayer; and while I was doing so the pain left immediately. No one who has not had a similar experience can realize how I felt. Just a short time ago I had a severe pain in my hip, and did not seem able to overcome it. I asked for Science help in the evening, and the next morning it was entirely gone.

To say that I am thankful to God and grateful to our dear Leader does not at all express my feelings. But, if possible, I am more thankful for the spiritual uplift than for the physical healings. What a great blessing it is to know that in God "we live, and move, and have our being"! I am also very grateful indeed to the loving practitioner, and to all the kind friends who have helped me all along the way. My sincere desire is to live the life of a true Christian Scientist.—Solomon Wilkinson, Ashland, Wis.
