It is with a heart full of gratitude to God that I tell of the many benefits I have received through Christian Science. From early childhood I had had catarrh and hay fever, the catarrh being with me always, and the hay fever appearing regularly every year. After trying different climates and having several operations on my nose, I was still without relief. This, together with a number of other so-called ailments, caused me to be an invalid, almost helpless, a burden to myself and my family.

During the two years previous to taking up Christian Science I had undergone two very serious operations, having to remain in the hospital on one occasion three months. The result of all this was that I was left with a very serious hernia, which had to have special treatment, and for which I had to wear a specially made support. During this time I had been treated by physicians in several states, and finally they told me they could do no more for me.

About this time a friend persuaded me to try Christian Science, and took me to a practitioner. I had not known the pleasure of a night's uninterrupted sleep for years, but after the first treatment I slept like a child, and afterwards felt like a new person. After continuing treatment for three weeks I was able to lay aside my glasses, which I had used for sixteen years.
