With a heart filled with gratitude I am sending this testimony of my physical healing, which I received through Christian Science. Through an accident which I had, I was obliged, in January, 1917, to undergo an operation in the abdomen. After three years, in January, 1920, the same operation had to be repeated. From this I recovered, but very slowly. At first everything seemed to be all right; but it did not long remain so. After about nine months a severe intestinal trouble occurred, which, so the doctor said, was a result of the operation and would cause me suffering for some time to come. I thereupon consulted two other physicians; but all their prescriptions were no longer of any avail. Thus, I was to be operated on again.

Through all these sicknesses I had become quite indifferent and unresponsive. And then, while in this unhappy condition, I received help. My brother, who had been healed through Christian Science of catarrh of the lungs, called my attention to this teaching and took me to a Christian Science practitioner. I asked for treatment, and an improvement was noticeable after two days. In four weeks the trouble was gone; and thus, after four years of suffering, I was entirely well again. No more ill effects from the operations have been noticed since then.

In January, 1922, I suffered from a severe cold, accompanied by coughing and vomiting. This weakened me very much physically, so that I again asked for help in Christian Science. After a few days, the cold and the cough, as well as an attack of tympanitis had gone, and I was well again.
