The Christian Scientist is a real soldier of the cross. He has enlisted to lessen sin, evil, and disease; and having assumed such a task, he is striving daily to overcome these errors in his own life, and thus be enabled to help his fellowman; thereby fulfilling in some measure the commands of the Master: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature;" "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils."
