About three years ago a member of our family was sent to a hospital suffering from tuberculosis in an advanced stage. When there, one of her visitors told her of Christian Science. Treatment was begun, and she improved at once. In a couple of months she was moved (by the medical authority there) to the building for convalescents; and about two months later the healing was complete. She returned home well, and has remained so.

This, however, did not bring me to the study of Christian Science. Some time later, our little girl had been ailing with one thing after another for a couple of months, being unfit for school much of the time. One particular afternoon she became feverish and restless, and I suddenly decided to call up a Christian Science practitioner and have treatment for her. She slept quietly for several hours; the fever left her; and when she awoke she at once said, "I am better now." Next morning she was bright and happy; and she has not lost a day from school, on account of sickness, since that time. She also had another beautiful healing. She had a little lump on her arm, caused by an injury. The school nurse told her it should be attended to, as it had been there two or three months. After a few days under Christian Sciewnce treatment, it disappeared.

About this time I was ready to turn to Christian Science for myself, being now convinced of the healing power of this truth. I had a growth of six or seven years' standing. Members of my family knew of it, but I had never consulted a doctor, as I could not make up my mind to have an operation. It had begun to be quite painful, so I asked for treatment for it. I experienced immediate relief, and in two or three weeks it had completely disappeared. Some time later I had what seemed like a rheumatic pain in my hip. This also quickly yielded to treatment. During the last year there have arisen but few physical ills to overcome. I find, with my growing understanding, that I have much less fear; consequently I have seldom required a practitioner's help.
