The Lectures

Chicago, Ill. (Seventh Church).—Introducing Rev. Andrew J. Graham, a Christian Science lecturer, to his audience, George J. Schantz said in part:—

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place." And the demonstration which followed richly blessed them and succeeding ages with the inspiration and consolation of Immanuel—"God with us." The clearer our realization of this fundamental oneness of purpose the more abundantly will our efforts be rewarded. Divine longings grow more and more irresistible as the finger of experience writes, "Vanity of vanities; all is vanity," over the supposed realm of matter, and over the supposed kingdom of the senses. This desire, this longing, is the seeking for the fountain of Life, God. It is the searching after the all-good, God. It unfolds boundless Love, God.

Many religions and philosophies have professed to show the way to the attainment of Life. But in our day Christian Science, discovered by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, is calmly, majestically, and triumphantly visiting the dwelling places of men, and millions now living bear testimony to having found the "pearl of great price" through Christian Science. The grand triumph of this divine activity is due to the demonstrability of its simple and exalted teachings. In the words of Jesus to Thomas, Christian Science lovingly counsels the world: "Handle me and see." See sin destroyed, disease healed, and death vanquished.
