It was about fourteen years ago that I went to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting for the first time. The testimonies of healing seemed wonderful to me. I bought "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy for a friend, who has been very much helped. There did not seem to be much in it for me, as I was in comparatively good health. I have, however, had many healings since; and a better understanding of God as divine Principle, and also a spiritual uplift, have come to me. There was a healing of rheumatism in my right shoulder. I could not raise my arm above my head, but said nothing to any one and tried to do my own mental work. One Wednesday evening after coming from church I found it impossible to lie down upon retiring. I called my daugher, and requested her to ask a Christian Science practitioner for help. In about fifteen minutes I lay down and went to sleep. The next day I went to work; and in two or three days the sense of pain was entirely gone. That was six years ago; and I have been entirely free from that trouble ever since.

I cannot express the gratitude I owe to God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader; also to the practitioner who helped me. I am a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church and have had the privilege of class instruction.
