About seven years ago I turned to Christian Science for physical help, after every material remedy which I had heard of had failed to give me relief from pain and suffering. The law had been laid down for me that I had been a delicate, sickly child, and would always be in that condition.

The first healing I experienced was of a very bad eye trouble, which was healed in two treatments. I left off glasses that I had worn for seventeen years. They had become a necessity in my life; I had to put them on the first thing in the morning, and took them off the last thing at night. When I broke them I had to remain where there was little light, and do nothing. The first day I left them off under Christian Science treatment, I did fine needlework all day. I am grateful for the sense of freedom I have experienced. One of my eyes was crossed; and the doctor said an operation would be needed to have the eye straightened. This was healed in a very short time in Christian Science; so that now both of my eyes are normal. A nervous spinal trouble, daily headaches, and numerous other ills have been healed, have vanished into their native nothingness.

I am more grateful for the perfect health I am now enjoying than words can express. I am also grateful for the joy, happiness, and peace that have come into my life through the understanding of God as Love, an ever present help in time of need. I am grateful for the life of Mary Baker Eddy, who so patiently gained this spiritual understanding and gave it to the world. There is not a day but some little problem is overcome by the application of this truth. I am so grateful that we have a solution for our daily needs. I know that when we apply our understanding of God as Love, and of man as made in His image and likeness, all inharmonious conditions will disappear, for I have proved this many times in my own experiences. Through the daily study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I am gaining that peace which "passeth all understanding." I am grateful to God, whom I am knowing to be Life, Truth, and Love.
