It is now ten years since I first came to Christian Science for help. I had been suffering with was thought to be an internal malignant growth. Two physicians said it would be necessary for me to have an operation. Friends told me afterwards that they did not expect me to survive the operation. I was also afraid I would not survive. Arrangements were made for me to go to a hospital; but the day before I was to go, something whispered to me, Why not try Christian Science? I had almost lost faith in God. True, I believed in a Supreme Being; but I did not know how to find Him. I decided to go to a Christian Science practitioner the next morning, and did so. I was much benefited, and was convinced that Christian Science is the truth. I did not have a complete healing for some time. One evening I was alone for a short time with a friend who was a Christian Science practitioner. She asked me if I had a physical difficulty; and I replied that I had. I then told her something about it. After talking to her on the subject of Christian Science, I found myself entirely healed. I have never had a symptom of the disease since.

I am indeed grateful for this healing; but oh, I am so much more grateful that I have found God, and that I know He is ever present, all-powerful, and that He is Love! I am also grateful for the understanding of the Scriptures that has been given me through the study of Christian Science. There seemed to be so much error to clear away in my thought. Truth has come to me slowly, but I have never faltered. I am grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for again bringing this truth to the world.

My experience in healing verifies the experience of Job. By stretching out my hands to God, my heart has been set aright. It has cleansed my thought of iniquity. It has helped me to forget my misery by revealing to me the true idea of God, and the true relation that man holds to Him.
