Gentleness

In 1899 the Sunday school children sent Mrs. Eddy a picture "depictive of Isaiah xi." She acknowledged the loving gift in three verses, now published in "Poems" (P. 43); and of the little ones she wrote:—

"Ours through Him who gave you to us,—
Gentle as the dove,
Fondling e'en the lion furious,
Leading kine with love."
