[Original testimony in French]
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." With what joy I recall this beautiful passage in the Psalms; and how well it expresses the love and gratitude with which my heart overflows toward our heavenly Father!
I became acquainted with Christian Science at a time when, owing to mental problems for which I could find no solution, I had become very much run down physically. On receiving my first treatment, I was so much touched and impressed by the kind words of the practitioner that I could not express my feelings; but my tears, long withheld, flowed freely, and a great sense of comfort, relief, confidence, and inexpressible hope filled my heart. On receiving the second treatment, a phase of the experience through which I was passing yielded completely; and from that moment onwards, my health was fully restored. Whereas I had been having medical treatment in the country for six weeks before without deriving the slightest help from it, one glimpse of Truth enabled me to resume my usual occupations within two weeks; and I gained, in addition, my share of spiritual happiness.
Notwithstanding this, the advancing experience proved to be an arduous one, and it seemed as though the gleams of Truth illumined my pathway but momentarily. I did not lose courage, and, strengthened by my dear mother, I continued the study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. After eighteen months of perpetual struggle, my chains were broken and I could proclaim the truth; and since that blessed day no cloud has veiled or diminished my joy. I feel that I am firmly treading in the Christ-path; and when a problem presents itself, I am convinced that its solution is to be found in divine Mind.
