It is with sincere gratitude that I give this statement. I was thrown from a dray upon a stone, breaking a rib from the backbone. In a few days I could not move in bed or cough without being drawn up with pain; could not possibly stand upon my feet. I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and received her letter about eight o'clock at night saying she would go right to work for me. She asked me to read in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I did as she told me. In the morning I dressed, and wrote her that I was as well as ever, but not strong. She wrote back saying God did not have any weak children and that she would give me one more treatment. This was over twenty-five years ago. Three years ago I got up one morning and could not retain any nourishment. The next morning I could hardly stand on my feet. I asked my daughter to call a practitioner over the telephone, and with one treatment I got up and ate breakfast with the family. Christian Science has made me a new creature. I am now seventy-four years young!
