Christian Science was presented to me many times, but I was not willing to accept it, because I thought I was physically well and did not need it. Then, while I was recovering slowly from a case of bilious fever, a Christian Scientist (for whom I entertained a dislike, because I thought she talked too much) came to me. Now I am glad she did talk much, for it took a great deal of talking to reach me. I used to run out of her way; but this time I was not able to do this, and so listened to her. She began talking to me about God, as taught in Christian Science. "God is Love," and "God is good, and not evil," were the words that stood out in my thought. I asked her where evil came from. She said, "God is good, not evil, and God is All." I began thinking along this line, as I had never thought of God, good, in this way before. This thought was the dawning of the light in my consciousness; and with it came peace, joy, harmony, happiness. Everything around me began to look beautiful, friends more loving, surroundings happier; and with this knowledge of the truth of God came, naturally, the physical healing.

I then bought the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began to learn more of this wonderful truth. Two years later I had class instruction in Christian Science, and through pure thoughts and clear teaching I was strengthened and encouraged, so that I was able to prove and demonstrate the wonderful power of Truth over sickness and all discordant conditions. Many blessings have come to me through the study of Christian Science.
