In gratitude for what Christian Science means to me, I...
In gratitude for what Christian Science means to me, I send this simple testimony, with a loving desire to help others. About a year ago, I was suffering from a pain in the back. This was diagnosed by physicians as lumbago. Feeling that I was unable to meet this for myself, I immediately asked the help of a Christian Science practitioner, which was lovingly and faithfully given. After several treatments I felt so much better that I discontinued the help of the practitioner. About a week later, I was awakened very early in the morning with the same suffering—only in a more aggressive form, so much so that I was unable to turn in my bed. My affirmations of the truth and denials of error seemed to be of no avail, until I turned my thoughts completely away from self. I believe it is needless for me to add that I was healed instantly.
It is vain for me to try to put into words the gratitude I feel for our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and for what her works are doing for the world.
