Flushing, N. Y. (First Church).—Lecturer introduced by August Plischke, who said in part:—

In Matthew it is recorded that when Jesus sent forth his twelve disciples, he commanded them to "preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse he lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils." In following the command of their Master in this age, Christian Scientists are again putting on the undivided garment of the Christ, bringing knowledge and salvation—science and health—to all mankind. It will have been noticed in the public press of late that many of the churches throughout the land are expressing the thought that deliverance from the present unrest and suffering should largely emanate from the church.
