A recent issue contains comments on "Brother Isaiah's"...

New Orleans (La.) Item

A recent issue contains comments on "Brother Isaiah's" work by "R. W. S.," who states that the religion of Christian Scientist is based upon suggestion. Kindly permit me to correct this by saying that the religious teachings of Christian Science are based solely upon the spiritual interpretation of the Scriptures and upon the words and works of Jesus and his apostles. The healing in Christian Science is the destruction of the belief of sin and disease in human consciousness through a realization of God's omnipotence and of man as His image and likeness or the perfect spiritual idea. Christian Science healing is not the result of mental suggestion, nor is it brought about through any action of the so-called human mind.
