I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science. About seven years ago I was healed of a belief of abdominal tumor, being told by one of the most prominent surgeons of this city that I should undergo an operation at once. He also stated that certain symptoms, one of which was fainting, were overwhelming evidence that an operation was imperative. At that time I knew nothing of Christian Science, but "man's extremity is God's opportunity," and I was led to ask for a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," from a lady I knew who had been a student for many years. About two weeks after taking up the study I again felt one of these fainting spells coming on. I was in a public place and my first thought was that I must not faint or I would be taken at once to the hospital. I clung to a table with both hands, and the twenty-third psalm came to me, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." In a short time I was able to go to a street car and thence to my home. I was healed of this claim by reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I never knew when the healing took place but gradually began to grow stronger. This is but one of the many healings in the home, and I am learning more of this truth every day.
