Nineteen years ago Christian Science came to me in an hour of great need, when I had met with an accident to my knee, which confined me to my room for three months. I was in bed the greater part of the time under the care of a surgeon who called almost daily, and I was steadily becoming worse. Seven physicians gave me no hope of being cured; on the contrary, some thought I would always be obliged to use crutches and that a stiff joint would inevitably follow. I was in despair. After talking with a Christian Science practitioner, I decided to take treatment, and awoke the following morning healed. It has been my great privilege to prove this truth for others and there is no joy like it in all the world.
