Six years ago a rupture caused me so much trouble and pain that, as I did not like the idea of an operation, and as Christian Science had done so much for my wife, I decided to try it. I went to a practitioner and in three treatments was completely healed of this trouble, and also of the liquor and tobacco habits. I had used tobacco, both smoking and chewing, and been addicted to the use of liquor for over forty years. These healings were so grand that I at once started to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy and to read the Bible, which I had not done since I was a young boy. In time I ceased using profane language and a violent temper became a thing of the past.

What I consider the very best of all is that Christian Science changed me from an infidel to a believer. I now not only believe, but know there is a God of love, and I am trying to live my everyday life in conformity with the teachings of Christ Jesus. The different view I have gained of the world and of people, since studying Christian Science, has made my life happier and brighter. Only a short time ago, with the aid of a practitioner I was healed of an abscess in the hip joint. For two days and a night it was very painful, but the third day the ache and pain left, and in about ten days I was entirely healed.

For all these healings I am truly thankful to God as revealed to me in Christian Science. I am also grateful that Mrs. Eddy was able to discover and give to the world this never ending blessing.—B. W. Hazen, Los Gatos, Calif.
