It is almost sixteen years since I first began studying...
It is almost sixteen years since I first began studying Science and Health, and the wonderful spiritual uplift that I received has steadily increased as the years have gone by. We have had many proofs of the healing power of Christian Science. With three children in the family we have never called on a doctor, nor have we used medicine of any kind. We asked a practitioner for help one day at noon as one of the boys showed the symptoms of measles, but by the next morning all these had disappeared. Mumps, whooping cough, and also what was called by the doctors the seven year itch, have been overcome. Within two weeks after treatment was begun every sign of the last mentioned trouble had gone. I was most wonderfully healed of an ulcer on my left ankle, which had remained in constant discharge for twenty-four years. I had employed the help of several doctors but could not get any permanent relief, and the bone had become affected to the extent that several pieces had been removed. The doctors had said that it might be healed if I would submit to the scraping of the bone, but he could not give complete assurance that it would be. About four years ago, after a very diligent effort to apply the truth as taught in Christian Science, I was healed of this trouble.
For these healings and many others I am very thankful to God. I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving this truth to the world.—Roy G. Loomer, Fergus Falls, Minn.
It gives me great pleasure to verify my husband's testimony. I am truly very grateful for all the blessings we have received since coming into Christian Science. We have relied entirly on it for all our needs and they have always been supplied. I was brought up in a Christian home and taught to read the Bible every day, but never understood it until I read and studied "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. The Bible then became like a new book to me. I am very thankful for the many physical healings, but most of all for the spiritual uplift experienced. I wish to express my gratitude for all our periodicals; they truly are our daily food.—(Mrs.) Maude Loomer.
