About eight years ago I became ill with a severe nervous trouble. Through sleeplessness, fear, and loss of appetite I was soon in a very weakened condition, and my state of mind was such that I neither had a desire to live nor felt any joy in living. Then my work brought me in touch with a lady to whom I spoke of my trouble. She had been healed of a similar aliment through Christian Science and in consequence had become an earnest student of this teaching. During the ensuing conversation she acquainted me with its fundamentals, and I decided to go to the next service with her. This I did and immediately felt a great confidence in this religion, for I had always had an idea that my sickness existed only in the mind. Thereafter I attended the services regularly, but owing to the seemingly advanced stage of the ailment, my improvement was very slow. I therefore went to a Christian Science practitioner, who gave me treatment. From then on I noticed how, with my further progress in the understanding of this teaching, divine Mind brought healing to my consciousness, and in time I was entirely restored.

I am glad to give testimony of my healing and am truly grateful for having found the truth. It shall be my constant endeavor to learn more of this beautiful religion. I am grateful to God and to Mrs. Eddy for this Christ-teaching, which she has brought to us. I also thank all those who have encouraged me and have rendered me spiritual help.
