It is with a great deal of real happiness that I can truly...

It is with a great deal of real happiness that I can truly say I know that God is ever present and that all wrong conditions can be overcome by the understanding of Principle as taught in Christian Science.

In the late summer of 1914, I took my last materia medica treatment for a disease known to medical science as locomotor ataxia. My condition at times was about as bad as could be, and I suffered most excruciating pains. I was informed by the doctors that they were doing all they possibly could to relieve the condition. I had reached the limit, as far as medical help was concerned, and made up my mind that there was only one way out of my suffering and that was through death. It was at this point that Christian Science was brought to me by a kind friend, who had been healed of a severe case of appendicitis, and through her expression of Truth I realized the power of God. I at once began to attend the church services and did a great deal of reading in Christian Science. Just through this alone I was able to stop the progress of the disease. I finally consulted a practitioner and through treatments received wonderful results and am glad to say that I am now realizing what the meaning of real happiness is. I can positively state that in the five years of study I have overcome all conditions relative to the old trouble except a slight unnaturalness in walking.

Christian Science has also brought to me a religion that can be used in all walks of life. Previous to my taking up the study of this great truth I was not a member of any church, but am now very happy to say that I am numbered amongh the many members of The Mother Church, and am truly very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for being spiritually minded enough to bring to suffering humanity this ever present help.
