Deep gratitude and the belief that our experience will help some other parents who are in despair, cause me to send this testimony. Our little girl, aged seven, became entirely paralyzed with what the doctors called mealses meningitis, and although she was taken to a local hospital and given the best care possible, she was visibly fading away. After weeks and weeks of this state of affairs we were finally told that the child could not live, or at the best would remain paralyzed for years. We decided to try Christian Science and took her to San Francisco, where she was placed in the care of a practitioner. While in the hospital she was nightly given material remedies which the nurses informed me were absolutely necessary. The first night under Christian Science treatment she obtained a fair night's rest, and at the end of three days the bowels moved naturally. When she had been in San Francisco less than a week she recovered her speech and the third week she walked about again. In exactly one month from the day Christian Science treatment was begun we took her out to Golden Gate Park, where she was able to run and play with all her usual childish abandon.

We are more than grateful for all that Christian Science has done for us, and feel that there is no better way to express our gratitude than to carry this healing truth to others. My sincere prayer is that I may be able to get a thorough understanding of this great work.
