Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science...
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science and all that it has done for me and mine. Some years ago I was in terrible mental agony, caused from financial troubles, and Christian Science came to me as a great shining light. I received relief and was brought out of all my seeming difficulties, through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I continued reading at intervals, but now realize that I did not put on the whole armor of God, and not until the spring of 1914, in Los Angeles, California, did I give myself—my all—up to Him.
I was then almost a physical wreck, and besieged with fear I turned to materia medica and was pronounced in a very precarious condition, having kidney trouble, chronic bowel disorder, and skin disease. I was almost beside myself when a friend woke me up and censured me for not having a Christian Science practitioner treat me. I do not think I had thought of getting anyone to help me in Science; I did not know a practitioner and had never had any help outside of my own reading. I however went to see a practitioner and in one treatment was healed of kidney trouble. After several treatments I was entirely healed of all my ills, mental and physical, and was a new woman. None of the ailments ever returned.
Since that time I have read the Lesson-Sermons daily and have depended on God to protect and guide me. About a year after my healing, my husband and I came to Alaska. We have found Christian Science our great and only Comforter and truly have proof that God is everywhere, because He has taken care of us physically, mentally, and financially. We know that Christian Science, when rightly applied, will meet every human need. By applying divine Principle we have been able to solve all our problems.
