With much pleasure I send my testimony of healing in Christian Science. I began reading the literature a few years ago because of a desire to know what it was that had so beautifully healed a member of our family who had suffered for a number of years from a tubercular condition and had undergone several operations but seemed always to grow worse, finally being unable to walk erect or to be up more than part of the time. This relative went to a near-by city for Christian Science treatment and after a week returned home as erect and active as anyone could desire. This healing was beautiful and wonderful to me and aroused a desire to know what brought it about. I began studying Christian Science immediately and have continued to do so ever since, with an increasing sense of gratitude for the truth as revealed through the study of the Bible together with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

I have had little need of Christian Science for physical help, but have experienced many healings from false beliefs. I am especially grateful for the better understanding of what God is and what man is. From the time I was a small child the fear of making mistakes was quite a problem for me. Often I would not do the things which I greatly desired to do, because of this fear, or if I did attempt to do them it was with a sense of great discomfort. When I began to see, as taught in Christian Science, that God is the source of all intelligence and that man, being His image and likeness, does have the wisdom and power to act and speak intelligently and with freedom, this fear soon diminished and mistakes became fewer. Now I know I do not need to fear to do what is right and good, and I am experiencing an increasing sense of freedom, harmony, and peace.

I would not know what to do without Christian Science, and am grateful for the practitioners who so lovingly help us over the rough places. I am very thankful to God for this wonderful truth which is revealed to this age through our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
