I give this testimony in the hope that it may help some one as I have been helped. I knew little of Christian Science till four years ago, when I was overcome with a trouble in my left side which had been coming on now and then for nearly ten years. I had tried doctors and material remedies without receiving help, and was getting so bad I could not do my housework. A friend told me how she had been healed through Christian Science, and asked me to try it, which I gladly did. I asked a Christian Scientist for treatment, and was most wonderfully helped, being able to do my housework in less than two weeks from the time I asked for treatment. Then I began the study of Science and Health, but I was slow in getting the understanding of the healing power of Truth and Love. I soon learned that I needed more understanding, when in the fall of 1917 a pain started in my left hip. I tried to overcome it with what little I understood from the reading of the Bible and Science and Health, but it got more painful each day, going down in my knee and leg clear to my toes, but never for a moment was I afraid. I had learned that "perfect love casteth out fear," and realized that the fault was with my understanding. I did not ask for any material help or for the name of the disease, but asked the Scientist for treatment. It was some time before the healing came, but in the early spring of 1918 I was healed and the trouble has never returned. I am healthier and happier than ever before.

Words cannot express my gratitude for Christian Science. I am thankful for all the good I receive each day through the Lesson-Sermon and the periodicals, which are a blessing to all who read them. I live on a ranch in eastern Colorado.
