For years before turning to Christian Science I had not been allowed to spend a night alone in a room, because of heart trouble, and would lie for days at a time in bed from nervous exhaustion after an attack. Many other ills were added to the list,—spinal trouble, chronic liver trouble, continual headache, kidney disease, and minor ailments. I was taking seven kinds of medicine daily when I went to a Christian Science practitioner for help. Many times I had been sorely tempted to end my miserable existence by self-destruction, but after the first Christian Science treatment life opened out before me as never before,—all was beautiful and worth while,—and in a short time I was free. I have never since that time felt that I could give up Christian Science. I have had the privilege of class instruction and have been able with the help of practitioners to overcome any ailment that has arisen in my home. There have come into my life some very severe trials, yet I have also had most wonderful protection in many instances, where none but a God of love could save myself and child from almost certain death. Each time the mantle of divine Love was thrown about us, and Truth, the mighty and strong deliverer, protected and saved us.

I am most grateful to God, and to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the privilege of living in the age when old things are become new, and we see the wonderful works of Love to the children of men.
