I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science
I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science. It is now over nine years since I became interested in it, and the benefits received during this time have been great. My first healing was of the liquor habit; the desire for strong drink left me in a fortnight. Other bad habits, such as gambling, use of profane language, betting on horse racing, and stealing, have also left me. They had been the means of getting me into prison twice, once for a long period. I have been healed physically, morally, and spiritually, and my family have received benefits. A motor cycle ran over one boy, but although the injuries were considered serious, they were quickly overcome and the boy was soon healed. Then our girl once had her skirt burned off her back through standing too near a gas jet. According to the medical law she was in a serious condition, but she was healed quickly by Christian Science.
I am most grateful to all the friends who have helped me in any way. Christian Science is teaching me to mind my own business and curb my tongue. Anyone will understand me when I say I thank God that I have been lifted out of what was nothing but a living hell. I hope that as I get a better understanding of the truth the day will come when I shall be a Christian Scientist and live Christian Science in the spirit, not only in the letter, and love my neighbor as myself and see every one as God's perfect man.
