The testimonies in our periodicals have helped me so much I would like to add mine, hoping it may benefit some one. My first healing was of chronic stomach trouble of long standing, which had gradually been getting worse, until I could eat only a little at a time. Even then the lightest sort of diet caused distress, and headaches were frequent.

It was in December, 1915, that I first heard of Christian Science. I had been bedfast for several weeks, and a lady I was not acquainted with sent me some Sentinels. I read the testimonies and they seemed too good to be true, for I had given up all hope of ever being well, having tried many physicians and being sure they had done the best they could for me. Still those testimonies gave me hope; so I wrote asking for Science and Health, which was lovingly sent to me. I also to a practitioner for help. When writing that letter it was necessary to rest several times, I was so weak. I had treatment for two weeks, and before that time had passed I was doing all the housework and eating whatever I wished. I found that I was able to drive alone to the home of a friend eight miles away for more Christian Science literature and with no bad effects, although the day was cold and snowy and I had taken cold very easily before knowing of Christian Science, doctors claiming that my lungs were weak. My healing has been permanent and I am grateful for it, but more so for the true understanding of God.

I have depended entirely on Christian Science since that first healing, about three years ago, and know it will never fail when rightly applied. Several months ago a nephew was healed of inflammatory rheumatism with a few Christian Science treatments. The pain and swelling were very troublesome when I saw him one day; the next morning he was all right. My husband and four children are learning to know God as taught in Christian Science. I am very grateful for our periodicals, which are a daily help to me. Words cannot express how thankful I am to Mrs. Eddy and to every one who has helped me.
