I am so thankful for Christian Science that I feel it...
I am so thankful for Christian Science that I feel it would be wrong to withhold an expression of thanks for all it has done for me. Eight years ago I was a physical wreck, mentally discouraged to the point of not caring how soon the end might come, for I could not see anything worth living for. After beginning the study of Christian Science, through the work of a practitioner I was healed of Bright's disease in two weeks. I realized I had found a religion which satisfied me and answered my questions regarding God, man, Life, Truth, and Love, as well as teaching me how to live. Many minor ailments and unlovely traits of disposition have disappeared; burns have been quickly healed without leaving a scar; neuralgic headaches, which in former days kept me in bed for several hours, have gone in one treatment; fever has been overcome in two hours; severe pain in the back, which at times made me unable to fulfill my duties, has been healed as the result of earnest work in Christian Science. For the quick healings I am grateful, for they prove the spontaneity of Mind; and I am grateful for the slow healings as they teach invaluable lessons in patient adherence to Principle in the correcting of thought.
In 1916 I entered the business world without any material preparation, and through daily and hourly reliance upon divine Mind progress has been made, beliefs of limitation and inability have been overcome. I am so grateful for a religion which shows us how to correct our erroneous beliefs; this is to me the greatest blessing of all, for it means the "peace of God, which passeth all understanding." I sincerely thank all who have so lovingly and patiently helped me. My desire is so to live as to help others.
