Realizing that it is my duty as well as privilege to make known my extreme thankfulness to God for the living truth practiced by Christ Jesus and again made known to the world by Mrs. Eddy, and to express my gratitude for the many experiences of protection and healing I have received through Christian Science, I send this testimony. Quite a number of years ago I became dissatisfied with the church of which I had been an active member for many years, because it seemed to me I very much needed something I was not getting and which I longed for. About that time Christian Science was presented to me, and it proved to be the "bread of life" for which I hungered. I obtained a copy of Science and Health after a little while, and the reading of it brought light, but I did not go on with it. A few years later, however, I again began the study of it, and through the spiritual understanding which came I was healed of a very severe attack of throat trouble; also instantly healed of rheumatism by declaring the truth for another person. A lifelong tendency to toothache and a skin disease of ten years' standing were overcome, as well as several other severe ailments; but best of all has been the mental healing, which has brought me out of darkness into the marvelous light of Christ, Truth.
