I feel a deep sense of thankfulness to God and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of this beautiful religion of Love, which is teaching us our true relation to God, our oneness with our heavenly Father. At the time Christian Science was presented to me I had been a semi-invalid for ten years, and was a complete wreck. The doctors said I would never walk again on account of misplaced organs, and all the ills that attend such a condition, such as extreme weakness and sleepless nights, sick headaches, palpitation of the heart, and stomach trouble. In March, 1913, I was to be taken to a hospital for an operation, but was saved from the operating table by a neighbor who came with the message of love to ask me why I did not try Christian Science first. A practitioner was called and I was healed of all but sick headaches in one treatment. I purchased Mrs. Eddy's textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and commended to study Christian Science, knowing I had found what I had been searching for all these years,—God, Life, Truth, and Love. The headaches faded away before the power of Truth. Many other seeming ills and trials have been overcome since that time. I have seen tubercular disease, pneumonia, rheumatism, sprains, malignant growths, and many other ailments vanish into nothingness before the power of Truth. I was wonderfully sustained in June, 1913, when a great sorrow came to me and following that the loss of material possessions and business cares were added.

The understanding of God as Love and the spiritual interpretation of the Bible have changed my life from a state of gloom and discord to harmony and peace and quiet. I have the great privilege of being a member of The Mother Church, have had class instruction, and am able to help others through the power of divine Love to see the light of Life. My constant prayer is to do some good each day.
