Christian Science gives a clear, practical understanding of the Christ-teaching. It is thus demonstrating the power of the Christ to leaven the lump of human thought with its beneficial influence. It is dispelling crude materialism and supplying a more spiritual basis of thought and action. It is working a change for the better in the three measures of meal,—science, theology, and medicine. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. 118): "Ages pass, but this leaven of Truth is ever at work. It must destroy the entire mass of error, and so be eternally glorified in man's spiritual freedom."
