I want to express publicly my gratefulness to Mrs. Eddy for discovering and giving to the world this wonderful religion. Christian Science is not only a religion of spiritual uplift and physical healing but one we can turn to for the overcoming of all difficulties. Problems which for several years I had been trying hard to solve were opened up to me very clearly in a few weeks in Christian Science and in working them out I had many proofs of the operation of God's law.

As to physical healing, I have seen tubercular disease of the bone overcome, also influenza, biliousness, and many minor ailments. Perhaps the most important healing to me was that of my boy, nine years old. His entire left side was stricken. He could not stand on his left leg, nor could he control his left arm. Even his speech was much affected. After a practitioner had treated him for several weeks apparently with no results, I was seized with terrible fear and went to a doctor, who pronounced it a case of infantile paralysis. I left the doctor's office feeling and knowing that God was my only help. When the practitioner told me that my thought so filled with fear had no power, for God is omnipotent, suddenly a sense of peace came to me. The next morning the boy got up and dressed himself for the first time in several months. He was perfectly healed and has since enjoyed better health than ever before in his life. I am most grateful for this healing.
