Before coming into Christian Science this Scriptural verse was always a puzzle to me: "The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." It always seemed contradictory; but Mrs. Eddy explains it on page 380 of Science and Health, where we read, "Every law of matter or the body, supposed to govern man, is rendered null and void by the law of Life, God." This statement has been proved many times in our family. Croup was overcome in one treatment. One of our children was healed of measles the third day; not a spot was to be found on him and there were no after effects. Glasses were discarded after having been worn eighteen years. Typhoid fever was overcome in one week; and so I could go on and enumerate the many times the so-called law of discord has been overcome by the law of God, Love.

We are grateful for the physical healings, for they are the proofs of "God with us." I am grateful for our periodicals, for many times I have found in the Journal or Sentinel an answer to a problem. Limitation in many ways has been overcome through the understanding of this truth; also last but not least, Christian Science has taught me to rejoice always, for we have the promise, "He that endureth to the end shall be saved."
